When I began this site, I wasn't at all involved with Etsy. Now I am their number one fan. (Yes, that does imply a certain amount of Kathy Bates imbalance)
I have learned so many things about Etsy. My first realization is that I like selling my art. I also realize that I will need to open about three or four shops in order to brand properly. The most important realization however, is that, like any other job, it takes work to sell on Etsy. You need to market yourself like you would anywhere else.
As I have only just begun, I think I need to hit the streets to build my following and send them through not only Etsy, but also Facebook.
To that end, I will be trying post my items here, as well as other Etsians whose work is stellar and who need a hand up! We all have to start somewhere, right?
