I have been re-purposing some boxes lately and just love how they are turning out!  These special occasion gift boxes are wonderful for one of a kind presentations to that special someone.  This particular gift box has a spring themed blue & gray color palette.

This gift box is decorated with patterned paper, white lace ribbon, blue & white flowers, and sheer ribbon. It is embellished with a clear gem in the center of the flowers and bow.  Interior of gift box is decorated with same color pattern and design pattern so that the box is completely converted from its original.

Special Occasion Decorative Box

Sides of handmade gift box have been sanded and inked. Some of the original box color comes through, but I think this gives is a lovely rustic effect and an extra level of visual interest. This special box is wonderful decor at springtime, Easter or any classy occasion. Because of the colors, it can be used as a gift for a man or an older boy or even a wedding!

This handmade Origami Star is only Two Inches from point to point.  I took a little extra time and embossed each star with gold hearts. Each has a light yellow ribbon so you can hang the small star from a gift or basket.

Stars make lovely Easter Basket additions, work well  as Easter Decor or as birthday gift embellishments. Each Star is individually wrapped in clear packaging with matching paper decoration at top.  They are prepackaged and ready to give as gifts on Mother's Day, Anniversary, or as Wedding gifts...

I have been experimenting with my own artwork and considering turning them into sellable pieces.  Never done it before, but I see people selling prints and I think, well I can do that, right?

Plus, I like how this looks and think it is something I could see in my sons room.  It glows like a star but seems tangible.  That is why I like it.  And yes, that is one of my origami stars for sale in my Etsy Shop.

Tiny Orange and multi-striped polymer monkey is so lovable. Monkey sits cutely on a desk, in a basket, or as part of a child's toy collection. Blue Heart makes this a gift that is perfect for a boy or for Easter!

PricklyPaw and Etsy

When I began this site, I wasn't at all involved with Etsy.  Now I am their number one fan.  (Yes, that does imply a certain amount of Kathy Bates imbalance)

I have learned so many things about Etsy.  My first realization is that I like selling my art.  I also realize that I will need to open about three or four shops in order to brand properly.  The most important realization however, is that, like any other job, it takes work to sell on Etsy.  You need to market yourself like you would anywhere else.

As I have only just begun, I think I need to hit the streets to build my following and send them through not only Etsy, but also Facebook.

To that end, I will be trying post my items here, as well as other Etsians whose work is stellar and who need a hand up!  We all have to start somewhere, right?

More to come.  For now, I am updating my info on this site for mass appeal.  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to feature you all soon!
